 Launch of Open Source Security Training
Digital Boundary Group has added a significant new offering to its group of lab-based training courses. The course, Securing A Network With Open Source Tools, has been in development for over a year. Based on extensive research of available Open Source Tools and research into the current level of awareness and use of Open Source in networks across many sectors, this course meets the express needs of all organizations to stay current with developments in Open Source, the options available with Open Source and the ability of Open Source Tools to effectively secure networks while destroying misguided perceptions of the limitations of Open Source.  Digital Boundary Group to attend MISA Conferences
Digital Boundary Group will be attending 2010 MISA Conferences across Canada; MISA BC in Vernon, September 14th to 17th. and the MISA National Security Conference in Toronto, November 21st to 23rd.


 Hardening Windows Networks training
Digital Boundary Group's four day, hands-on training course titled: Hardening Windows Networks continues to gain market acceptance with additional course sessions now scheduled for 2010. This course goes beyond theory and best practices and delivers proven, field tested solutions for hardening, monitoring and protecting Windows based networks.  MISA Approved National Offers
The Municipal Information Systems Association (MISA/ASIM) has approved Digital Boundary Group's Web Application Penetration Testing and SecurIT Savvy end-user computer security training programs as special, national offerings for MISA/ASIM member municipalities.  Dale Descoteau joins Digital Boundary Group
Digital Boundary Group has entered into a contract with Dale Descoteau and his firm, Descoteau Consulting, located in Alberta, Canada to continue to develop Digital's business base in the west. Dale has worked in Information Technology management throughout his career, most recently as the General Manager of Information and Computer Services for the City of Medicine Hat.


 Digital Boundary Group Renews Membership in IACP
Digital Boundary Group maintains a focus on serving the security status verfification needs of municipal law enforcement services through its renewed membership in the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Digital Boundary Group personnel have given IT operational security assessment presentations at both international and LEIM section sessions of the IACP.
